I am a 40 year old turner and welder.
I became passionate about the radio recently (2018) and since then it has been a continuous evolution of my knowledge and my equipment ... at the moment my playing conditions {I prefer to call them like this} are:
yaesu ftdx10,
yaesu MD-200 microphone,
2-element cubical quad directional antenna for 11 meters, mounted on a 7-meter pole with an abatement system designed and built by me, Atas 120 with 2-meter radials with automatic tuning and a self-built 40-meter long wire.
My fixed station is at an altitude of 97 meters above sea level in an area of Rome that is very open and favorable to broadcasting.
I also have a mobile station installed in my off-road vehicle consisting of a yaesu 991a and another Atas 120 antenna with motorized automatic tuning to which I coupled a motorized and amortized abatement system controlled from inside the passenger compartment (obviously made entirely by me in steel inox! hi hi hi)
I am passionate about telegraphy and I produce my own line of entirely handcrafted telegraph keys always made by me , as well as having also produced wheeled pylons and some directional antennas, rotors, supports for field activations .... let's say that I have a lot of fun inventing and building things in the field of radio ...
