im more or less down in the middle of the valley on the east side so the curve and lack of hight has been a pain to over come for 45 yrs on radio

i started in late 78 but got my own radio in 1979 a 40 ch am set made by midland , a 150m to this day is is my favorite set every time i see one im like MMMMM lol , i still have one a 120ch am fm 150 m in my collection i would talk to eu and usa almost every day on a dv27 on a car bumper then an old biscut tin
i then got a 120 ch am fm colt 444 and spoke to eu alot on low band fm ch 5 and 6 , my first ssb set was a nato 2000 and first ssb contact was france 14 vl 625 i think it was of the top of my head only ever used super low band as i would cause tvi on high band then the AT GROUP dropped a band plan that coverd mids and high , tho now back to a bit of the super low band is allowed again
my list of radios is rather big that i have used over the years but currently have and use a few radios from president , superstar, cobra uniden , midland, stalker , and yaesu
ariels had a few of those too current ones are 5/8 wave silver rod , a99 , solarcon2000 sirio 4000 sirio 5000 trucker, full size 1/4 wave
i still have a 3 and 4 ele yagi but no longer use them |
