I am into Freight Forwarding and Logistics for the Past 30 years and is what I do for a leaving.
Pretty stressful to check and monitor airlines and shipping lines schedule for that matter required for
by clients and urgency of pick up and delivery. Fulfilling in a way that this nature allows me to travel
local and international meeting associates, contract signing and visiting wonders of the world.
So to say a business trip with leisure.
This Covid / Pandemic called me to slow down with no traveling and lesser meetings, relaxing stress free from the norm with not much places to go. I saw my self digging into my old staff of gadgets, way years back I took my CB Radio wondering if there could be anything going on air, not having a power supply with, I took off my motorcycle battery, made a wire dipole, turning on my stock Royce CB and to my surprise I can hear some far away modulation, this all came back to me, my younger high school days hobby in the 70s .
I can't help my self but start searching for online ham radio store and yes I did sow so much to choose from and this generation CB are great to learn are digital, SSB and has so much to work with like filters and so on.
Late last year 2021 November, I took the Technician Class to make it through and I can now say am stock to the hobby and a certified Ham am i.
Wonders of this hobby is truly great and stress relieving. Having good QSO while the propagation is open reaching miles and distance is full feeling.
You my Mates in the hobby are awesome Brothers and Sisters I can say to have given each other the feeling of success once the contact is made.
