Digital Modes
Mitch
Hello Tomek,
I do hope to see you in my waterfall. Because of the obvious reasons, I do not use my declared club number when using Digi in 11 Meters, so my number for ROS is 2WI105. Anyone that sees me struggle for a contact, please take pity on me and answer. Grin

I am still not understanding though, why can my signal not make it out to EU from my location. I try to use only the power I need to, but even at 100W it seems to not be enough to cross the pond. Is that too much? Maybe my signal is ugly in the waterfall and not able to be decoded? I just do not know because I get no chance to ask people who have replied so any advise would be appreciated.

Hi Guys while I am no expert in this field I have been doing digi modes for around two years now, If you get no TX on JT65, FT8 and other modes that are controlled by time TX/RX then its most likely your PC clock is out of sink with the time, keep your PC on time with Dimension4 or you can find many others out on the web, Dimension 4 works fine for me.
The only other reason I think is that you have your radio configured incorrectly with your interface ?

Dont forget to use the PSKreporter Map with your digi modes you can search in real time by mode and band and station

FT8 is the way to go.
works very well on the ham bands and is a huge improvement on all other digimodes.

You can find it in the software wsjt-x and even the www.pskreporter.info has the 11meter option.
the freq = 27.245 usb

There is only one problem, there are only a couple of stations using it.

FT8CALL is getting very popular now I saw (27) monitors on PSK map last weekend.
Today 8-9-18 (31) monitors only EU but have seen 2 and 10 div on the new mode, furthest south was Valencia 30 div and furthest north was up near Kokkola 56 div.
